About Me
Hello, my name is Leah, and I am the author of the debut children’s book, Ronster the Monster! I penned this story during the long, dark nights following the birth of my son, inspired by the qualities I hope he will learn and embody.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Applied Theatre, which allowed me to work within the community to explore how drama can enhance communication, self-expression, and confidence, particularly among vulnerable populations.
Additionally, I have extensive experience as an English teacher, working with students of various ages, stages, and abilities. Writing this book, I kept my son and my students in mind, aiming to encourage the traits I value in them.

‘Ronster the Monster’ is my debut children’s fiction novel. I am a great lover of stories myself, and especially now as I discover exciting, diverse and imaginative stories for my own little boy! I hope that the book will bring to life for children the importance of friendships, kindness and learning from each other

Workshops
I offer engaging workshops for Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 students, focusing on essential themes such as sharing, kindness, and friendship. These sessions are designed to nurture self-confidence and foster an awareness of the positive impact children can have on others.
Central to these workshops is my book, ‘Ronster the Monster’, which helps children recognise their unique strengths and contributions to friendships. Through interactive activities, children identify what they excel at and how they can share these talents with their peers.
Additionally, our confidence-building exercises include learning the words of my book, accompanied by matching actions, making the experience both educational and fun.
